Interfaces
Well not really much to talk about here, all the standard ports are present which is expected from a budget notebook. Here is the Acer Aspire 5742 in side photos.
The front has nothing else except the multi card reader, and two LED indicators for battery charging and hard disk activity.
The right side contains(from left to right) two USB 2.0 ports (not usb 3.0 yet) and a multi DVD-RW optical drive.
The back doesn’t contain anything except the battery slot, which is empty in this picture above.
And the left side has the power jack, a big vent for the CPU fan, VGA port for external monitor, the RJ-45 for ethernet connection, HDMI port also for external monitor/TV, one more USB port, and the standard mic and headphones audio out jack.
A webcam is present right at the top center of the screen. It is of good quality, with a 1.3 MP sensor it does provide some good fps raitng.
Nicely covered each of the specs….informative post! Appreciated!!
