The South Korean giant has formalized the name of Galaxy Watch. This future connected watch should be presented this summer.
The next connected watch of the brand will not be called Gear S4 as one might think. Indeed, Samsung has officially announced that its next smartwatch would be the Galaxy Watch. This new name could mean the arrival of a new range of smartwatch independent of the Gear S. Usually, the devices in the Galaxy range only run on Android. So we can assume that this next smartwatch will make use of Wear OS, formerly known as Android Wear.
The old models of the brand turned under Tizen, however, to expand the number of applications and services available, Samsung would opt for Wear OS.
According to some leaks, the future watch would be equipped with a battery of 470 mAh, a function of blood pressure measurement and a possible physical button dedicated to Bixby. To learn more about the Galaxy Watch, we will have to wait until the IFA 2018 to be held in September.
