PC Benchmark Results
With the Intel Core i3 inside this budget notebook actually performs the normal everyday operations quite well. Here you can see the results from our overall PC benchmark tests:
This is the benchmark test with PcWorld’s Worldbench 6 the the only real benchmark test with real windows applications. The overall score for the Acer Aspire 5742 is 101 which is quite good, compared to the base system in WorldBench 6, which has a score of 100.
Here are the Novabench score of 528 and PassMark’s score of 1064.8, which is also quite satisfying actually for a budget notebook. You can see the details from the NovaBench score in the screenshot above.
The PCMark Vantage has a score of 5676 of which the TV and Movies score is 3723 which shows that the Intel GMA HD isn’t so bad after all, at least not for playing movies. And the Sandra score of course 380, good.
And last but not least the famous Cinebench 11.5 has it’s CPU score at 2.00 pts and OpenGL at 1.32 fps, and of course the Windows 7 x64 Index score at 4.6.
