Temperature & Noise

Here are the temperatures measured at certain spots while the notebook was overloaded with a stress test by AIDA64 working at full capacity in all of it’s components.

Well the highest on the top being the 45 Celsius right above the cooling fan is nothing to be concerned about, it is well below the alarming temperature, but the fan itself measured directly was 54.3 C which is right below the limit for a Intel Core i3 processor. What I must note is that the temperature got quite high right on the touchpad. 42.5 C is a little more than usual for the touchpad spot. While it most certainly won’t get your finger burned, it can get a little uncomfortable. But then again I’m sure the casual user won’t max out this notebook this much as in our stress tests to become this hot.

Noise

The noise at idle was below 40dB which is the acceptable level, but when we ran the very same stress test it started getting louder slowly.

First it was at about 41dB than a few moments later 45dB, 47dB and when the fan took its full swing, the music started, it got 51.1dB. Which of course is somewhat acceptable of course, but some higher end notebooks with much better processors can perform at lower noise.
